Do you remember when Alabama played Georgia Southern?

Nick Saban does, and the memories aren't fond.

Alabama hosts Charleston Southern, of the FCS, this Saturday in its final home game of 2015, which, seemingly in Saban's mind, offered the perfect opportunity to recall the Crimson Tide's less-than-remarkable performance against its former FCS opponent.

In an epic rant Wednesday night -- littered with a few profanities -- Saban brought up that 2011 game against Georgia Southern where the then-FCS school gained 302 rushing yards to make a point about not taking the team's upcoming game lightly.

"You all don't remember the Georgia Southern game, do you?" Saban said during the weekly press conference. "I don't think we had a guy on that field that didn't play in the NFL and about four or five of them were first-round draft picks. And I think that team won a national championship, but I'm not sure.

"And they run through our ass like s--t through a tin horn, man, and we could not stop them. Could not stop them. Could not stop them because we couldn't get a look in practice, we didn't practice it right and everybody said the same thing in that game: 'You all took a week off, this wasn't important, so it's not important to anybody else.' It's got to be important to the players, and it's got to be important to us."

Charleston Southern like Georgia Southern in 2011, is 9-1; ranked in the top-10 in the FCS polls (Charleston Southern is No. 9, Georgia Southern was No. 3); and, perhaps most importantly based on his rant, runs an option offense heading into its matchup with Alabama.

The Crimson Tide, which went onto win the national championship after beating Georgia Southern as Saban mentioned, finished first nationally in total defense, scoring defense, passing defense and rushing defense that season, even after allowing season highs in three of those four categories (total, scoring and rushing) in its 45-21 victory.

"All anybody ever wants to talk about is how dominant the front was and how nobody could run against us, they got 300 yards rushing in one game," Saban said, raising his voice as he spoke.

Saban's rant began after he said reporters ask him questions about young players receiving more playing time due to the particular opposition.

The original question asked about Charleston Southern senior quarterback Austin Brown, who has FBS experience after starting 15 games for UAB across the 2012 and 2013 seasons.

By the time he was finished, Saban had forgotten as much, hinting that his rant was predetermined.

"I don't even know what you asked me, but I just wanted to say that," he admitted, as reporters laughed in response.

As he later left the podium at the conclusion of the presser, Saban asked reporters one more question in regard to his earlier profanity:

"Can you bleep that one thing out of there?"

Not long after Saban was finished, the Georgia Southern football program caught word of the coach's mini shout out and responded on Twitter.
