The Alabama Crimson Tide landed a big time commitment for the 2017 recruiting class late Monday night.

Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa picked Alabama as his school of choice during a local television newscast in Hawaii. The Honolulu native has a four star ranking and a top 100 recruit according to rivals.com

Tidesports.com recruiting analyst Andrew Bone reviewed Tagovailoa’s commitment to Alabama on The Gary Harris Show. Bone described Tagovailoa’s visits to schools around the south including to the University of Alabama.

The tidesports.com recruiting analyst mentioned academics and the atmosphere at Alabama being key factors in Tagovailoa’s decision to choose Alabama.

Bone elaborated on how Tagovailoa’s family fell in love with the Alabama campus.

“They just fell in love. They said it was an environment that felt like they were at home. The people were just so grateful, so respectful so nice that they just couldn’t believe it. They just loved every single thing about Alabama that it was so much different than any of those colleges that they went to.” Bone Said.
