Alabama baseball fell, 5-3, to 14th-ranked Missouri in game two of Saturday’s doubleheader as the Tigers were able to collect four home runs – including three solo shots –on the way to the series win. After the loss, Alabama now sits at 20-18 overall and 7-11 in SEC play.

Alabama was able to collect three runs in the third to give themselves the early lead. Tide starter Geoffrey Bramblett kept the Tigers off the board for the first three innings, but back-to-back-to-back solo home runs tied it up in the fourth. Missouri would then use a two-run homer in the sixth to take the lead, 5-3, which would end up being the final.

Following today’s contest, Alabama returns home to the Hoover Met for a doubleheader with Mississippi Valley State. The Crimson Tide and Delta Devils will play a Tuesday twinbill, with the first game beginning at 2 p.m. CT and the second game beginning 30 minutes after the final out of game one. Both contests will air live on SECN+.
