It's the year 2015, so it was only a matter of time before some of the bigger name head football coaches joined the world of social media, and Steve Spurrier is the newest member of the Twitterverse.

The "Head Ball Coach" in Columbia, SC has joined the ranks of head coaches now on Twitter. Other SEC coaches that you can find include Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn, Arkansas skipper Bret Bielema, and new Florida head coach Jim McElwain.

We're all aware of Spurrier's occasional rants, whether it be after a practice, press conference, or a random interview, but don't expect him to be his normal self while on Twitter. If his first tweet is an indication of how he's going to use the social network, then it may be a boring account (despite the accidental "1rst" error, but we'll let it slide).

Just a normal, non-controversial, politically correct tweet. However, let's not forget that this is Steve Spurrier and if what comes out of his mouth is always a surprise, we can only imagine what he could say as he hits "Tweet."

Now, we're all waiting for Nick Saban to join the Twitter club... but don't hold your breath.
