Following a loss to Ole Miss, Alabama will look to bounce back as Louisiana-Monroe comes to Tuscaloosa.

Saturday's game is expected to be lopsided. Oddsmakers made Alabama a 38.5-point favorite for this afternoon game, which might be exactly what the Crimson Tide needs as it looks to find and identity on offense.

With a loaded conference schedule awaiting Nick Saban in October, Alabama should take full advantage of this game.

No one on staff predicted the upset last week, but so we'll be looking to rebound as well.

I think Bama will play with an edge and hope to rest starters by halftime. They will look to develop an offensive identity headed to next week.  Alabama 56, ULM 6

Look for Alabama to rebound from a tough loss. I think they will establish the running game early and be able to take a look at the young players. Alabama 48, ULM 3

It's going to be a really bad sign for Alabama if we look up at the scoreboard late in the 3rd quarter and this is still a competitive game. Alabama not only needs to win, the Tide needs to play a clean game and win impressively. Bama should be looking to build some rhythm and momentum before heading to Georgia. I believe the Tide will roll. Alabama 45, ULM 13

It's been one of the more interesting weeks in Tuscaloosa in quite awhile. From the aftermath of the Tide's loss to Ole Miss, to the Twitter meltdown of Thursday, I'm not sure there's been a week like this in the last five years.

I don't know if Lane Kiffin will be calling plays Saturday, or not. My gut tells me he will. Regardless, I think Alabama will play at a high level. Tide rolls. Alabama 49, ULM 10

Alabama needs to use this game to fine-tune their offense. After watching this team for 3 weeks, I am not sure I can even guess what the offensive identity really is here in Tuscaloosa. Sorry LA-Monroe, somebody has to pay the price for UA’s loss to Ole Miss. Alabama 42, ULM 10

Well, it's tough to say how good this Louisiana-Monroe team is, as they have only played Georgia and Nicholls State so far this season, losing the first 51-14 and winning the latter 47-0. They are a dangerous team if not taken seriously (ask Alabama in 2007), but they don't seem to pose much threat to an upper level Power 5 team.

However, Alabama will be looking to improve upon their disappointing performance against the Ole Miss Rebels last Saturday night (and technically early Sunday morning). I think Coker will start for the Crimson Tide, and they'll continue working on the passing game to get prepped for Georgia next week. Alabama won't cover the Vegas spread, but they'll win convincingly. Alabama 42, ULM 10

In these games, Alabama tends to win by a solid margin but the score rarely gets out-of-hand. ULM play SEC teams all the time, so they definitely will not be intimidated by the atmosphere.  Still, look for Bama to try to make quick work of the Warhawks before turning their sites directly towards Athens. Alabama 35, ULM 14

After the few times Alabama has lost over the past nine seasons, some of Nick Saban’s initial thoughts following the defeat usually ask a question along the lines of “How do we respond from this?”

And while that sentiment still holds true this week, after the Crimson Tide lost at home to Ole Miss last Saturday, its next opponent on the schedule following a loss isn’t usually one this light.

While it’s entirely possible Alabama may continue to have some offensive identity issues against Louisiana-Monroe, it’s unlikely that the Crimson Tide will go down against the Warhawks again, which it did during Saban’s first season in Tuscaloosa in 2007. Alabama 45, ULM 10

The only way this game could have come at a better time is if it was last week. Regardless, Alabama will have a chance to figure out the offense before a huge game next weekend. Unless it plays a flawless game, I highly doubt Alabama will cover the large spread. Alabama 38, ULM 13
