Don't you hate it when you make a perfect shot, 160 yards out from the green, and the ball lands in a sinkhole? Oh, that doesn't happen very often?

At Top of the Rock golf course in Branson, MO, you now have the option to play into four gigantic sinkholes that opened up over the course of the past two days.

Luckily, nobody was hurt during the opening of the sinkholes, but now the concern is the possibility of more sinkholes opening up across the rest of the course.

So the real issue now is what is the ruling should you hit the ball into a sinkhole? Ground under repair? Do you get a free drop?

Or is it played as a hazard and you lose a stroke? If so, that seems a little harsh to me.
