Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III was told by NFL Uniform Inspector Tony McGee at a press conference on Sunday to turn his 'Know Jesus, Know Peace' shirt inside-out.

Quite a bit of conversation has been started since the incident. According to the Twitter feed of Michael Phillips, the Redskins reporter for the Richmond Times-Dispatch, Griffin was told that he couldn’t wear the T-shirt because it wasn’t a Nike product.

Griffin was fined $10,000 in 2012 for wearing Adidas to a press conference.

CSN Washington reports,

Redskins linebacker Ryan Kerrigan wore a t-shirt from Five Four Clothing to the podium for the postgame press conference and was not asked to change his shirt.

Did the NFL make him turn his shirt inside out because it was not a Nike product or was it because of the religious nature of the shirt?
