The Crimson Tide added a second quarterback to its 2017 recruiting class when four-star Mac Jones flipped his commitment from Kentucky to Alabama on Tuesday night.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound prospect from Jacksonville's The Bolles School announced his decision via Twitter.

Recruiting services rate Jones as a four-star prospect and 14th-best pro-style quarterback in the country. He had 22 total offers from programs around the country, but said Alabama was an opportunity he couldn't pass up.

“I would like to thank the University of Kentucky for recruiting me,” Jones wrote on Twitter. “However, an opportunity of a lifetime has presented itself to my family and me. I am happy to say I will continue my football and academic career at The University of Alabama. I am 100% committed, Roll Tide!”

Jones joins fellow four-star Tua Tagovailoa as the two quarterbacks in the Crimson Tide's recruiting class for 2017, and it appears he's ready to keep building the class.

Nick Saban now has 11 commitments for 2017 and the class is currently ranked 2nd in the nation per 247Sports.

Here are some highlights from Jones' junior season.
