High school players continue thinking up creative ways to make their college football commitment and we had another first on Friday.

Offensive lineman George Brown held a press conference at his high school in Cincinnati to announce which school he'd play college football in 2015. With an Alabama, Florida, and Kentucky hats on the table, Brown stood up holding a live baby alligator to signify his pledge to the Florida Gators.

This wasn't the first time we've seen a live animal make an appearance at a press conference. On Signing Day in 2010, running back Isaiah Crowell picked home-state Georgia before holding up a bulldog puppy for the cameras.

Let's hope live mascots don't become a trend for the sake of everyone in attendance, although it would pretty awesome to see a baby elephant paraded across a gymnasium floor.
