Alabama head coach Nick Saban met with the media for his weekly Monday press conference to discuss the Iron Bowl for the first time.

"The Iron Bowl is one of the greatest rivalries in college football," Saban said. "This game means a lot to a lot of people in the state, regardless of which side you're on, and also around the country."

As the country prepares for another nationally-significant meeting between these in-state rivals, most people have revisited the dramatic ending to the 2013 game. That's a finish the Crimson Tide players all have in the back of their minds.

"We all kind of remember what happened," Saban said. "It was very disappointing to all of us here. Not just the last play, but the last five minutes of the game."

Alabama leads the all-time series 42-35-1 while Saban has a 4-3 record over the Tigers since he arrived in Tuscaloosa. During the four wins, Alabama has beaten Auburn by an average score of 38-9.
