Charities like Wings of Grace that offer food to the needy depend on the West Alabama Food Bank. The Food Bank got some good news this week courtesy of an Alabama football player.

Alabama senior center Seth McLaughlin this week made a nice $1200 donation to the West Alabama Food Bank, thanks to proceeds raised through his name, image and likeness ( aka NIL) work.

McLaughlin Wednesday presented the food bank with a check for siad $1,200. In practical terms, that's enough to feed eight children for an entire school year. The funds came from proceeds generated from McLaughlin's NIL campaign that saw hats sold promoting popular Tide fan mantra "Run The Damn Ball."

McLaughlin, who went through Senior Day but still may choose to use his Covid Year, spearheaded the entire effort, which saw him form an LLC, file a trademark and get the product to market through the University of Alabama's successful 'Yea Alabama' NIL collective.

McLaughline has been an integral part of the Alabama offensve line since he stepped in at center during the 2021 Iron Bowl comeback at Jordan-Hare. He again became the starter for the second half of 2022 and for all 12 games this year.

He's expected to man that role for Saturday's SEC title game in his home state vs. Georgia, a contest you can hear on Tide 100.9, 95.3 The Bear, and AM 1230 WTBC. We will have full coverage on Tide for the event all weekend.
