Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin attended the Broyles Award presentation on Tuesday where we spoke about his first year under Nick Saban.

While Kiffin didn't win the award (that went to Ohio State OC Tom Herman), the former USC head coach had some fun on the podium during his speech, including poking some fun at Saban's height.

But it wasn't all jokes for the man behind Alabama's record-breaking offense.

"Coach Saban really, to me, took a chance on me when a lot of people wouldn't do it and has been phenomenal to me throughout the entire year," Kiffin said.

The other finalists were Oregon's Scott Frost, TCU's Doug Meacham and Missouri's Dave Steckel.
