Jim Harbaugh Fires Shot at Nick Saban & Alabama on Twitter

Welcome to college football in 2016, where the offseason never sleeps thanks to social media. 

Within hours after Nick Saban went on a rant about satellite camps at the SEC Meetings in Destin, the flag-bearer for said camps fired a shot on Twitter which landed directly in Tuscaloosa.

Credit Harbaugh for standing his ground and continue his fight for satellite camps, which clearly benefit his program. And credit Harbaugh for managing his own Twitter account.

But fault him attacking a head coach who's looking out for his program much like Harbaugh is doing. Saban did mention the Michigan head coach during his comments on Tuesday, but only because he was asked directly about him.

“I’m not blaming Jim Harbaugh, I’m not saying anything about him,” Saban said. “I’m just saying it’s bad for college football. Jim Harbaugh can do whatever he wants to do. I’m not saying anything bad about him if he thinks that’s what’s best.

“There needs to be somebody that looks out for what’s best for the game, not what’s best for the Big 10 or what’s best for the SEC or what’s best for Jim Harbaugh, but what’s best for the game of college football -- the integrity of the game, the coaches, the players and the people that play it."

You likely won't hear Saban react to these comments, but you better believe this adds more fire to the Big Ten/SEC rivalry in college football. Sadly, we'll have to wait three more months for the sport to return.
