Tua Tagovailoa announced Alabama as his collegiate destination Monday night.

The quarterback out of Honolulu’s St. Louis High School is one of nine commitments in the Crimson Tide’s 2017 signing class.

Crimson Cover TV recruiting analyst Mike Parker evaluated Tagovailoa's skills as a football player, how Nick Saban and his staff decided to recruit Tagovailoa and the impact that his commitment could have on the 2017 signing class.

In Parker’s opinion, Tagovailoa’s announcement is big for Alabama’s recruiting class.

“I think it’s tremendous. I think it’s an absolute home run.” Parker said.

The Crimson Cover TV recruiting analyst later detailed how Tagovailoa’s commitment could impact Alabama's ability to land potential commitments at the wide receiver position.

The Gary Harris appears every weekday from 9-11 AM on Tide 99.1 and the radioPup app.
