KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The injury bug struck Alabama again on Saturday night at Tennessee.

True freshman left tackle Cam Robinson left in the third quarter of the Crimson Tide's 34-20 win over the Volunteers with a high ankle sprain and did not return. Though Alabama coach Nick Saban said in his postgame press conference that the medical staff would likely provide a more accurate reading on Robinson's status on Sunday, he expects the former five-star prospect to miss at least some time.

"I’m just hopeful that Cam’s going to be able to get back in a couple weeks and we won’t lose him for a long time," Saban said.

Robinson, who has started every game this season at left tackle for Alabama, favored his right ankle as he was helped off the field. He then took off his shoulder pads and headed to the locker room on crutches.

Following the injury, Robinson was replaced by starting right guard Leon Brown at left tackle. Bradley Bozeman, who started in place of an injured Ryan Kelly against Arkansas and Texas A&M, then came off the bench to fill in for Brown at right guard.

"We think Leon is the next best left tackle," Saban said. "So, it’s always been our plan that he would be the next left tackle if something happened to Cam Robinson."

A few plays after Robinson left the game, junior safety Landon Collins also went down in the third quarter. Though initially looking serious, Collins just had cramps and returned to the game after receiving an IV in the locker room.

Tight end Brian Vogler suffered a sprained knee and running back T.J. Yeldon had a sprained foot, but neither injury is believed to be too serious, Saban said.

Wide receiver Christion Jones tweaked his hamstring during pregame warmups and did not play. Chris Black started in his place at wideout and Cyrus Jones replaced him at both kick and punt returner.

"We tried to get him loosened up, but he couldn’t go," Saban said. "I don’t think it’s that bad, but we’ll have to see.”

UPDATE:

Speaking to the media after he was inducted into the Alabama Academy of Honor in Montgomery on Monday, Saban reaffirmed that Robinson will be out for a "couple of weeks."
