It's almost beginning to become the norm for the Crimson Tide to start their pursuit of yet another national championship without knowing who will take control of the offense. When fall camp begins in August, redshirt freshman Blake Barnett will be one of four quarterbacks competing for the starting job.

Ryan Maine, Barnett's former assistant high school football coach, joined guest host AP Stedham during The Gary Harris Show and discussed what Blake has to offer the Crimson Tide.

Maine assures fans that Barnett is a hard worker who handles himself in a professional manner. After a year's worth of experience under his belt, Barnett will have to prove he can take the reigns on the road to 17.

Maine described some of his favorite plays he liked Barnett to run during his high school years as well.

The Gary Harris Show airs live week day mornings from 9 to 11 am. You can listen online here or on-the-go using the free radioPup app on your phone. Check out the full interview in the video below.
