It came down to Signing Day as one of west Alabama’s very own in Gordo High School linebacker Ben Davis revealed his decision to stay close to home and play his college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Davis will follow in the footsteps of his dad Wayne Davis who put together a stellar career at Alabama from 1983-1986.

On The Game with Ryan Fowler, the Gordo High School star talked about the recruiting process, his reasoning for choosing Alabama and what it was like to play in a town know for high school football.

“It’s like a religion here. We love football. It’s like the whole town shuts down on Friday night to come to the game. I’m glad I was able to come up here, engage in the program and meet a lot of great people.”
