Alabama basketball head coach Avery Johnson has been doing some work on the recruiting trail since he landed in Tuscaloosa, and today he started off the 2016 class with a bang by getting a commitment from 5-star shooting guard Terrance Ferguson.

Ferguson, the third ranked shooting guard out of Dallas, TX according to ESPN Recruiting Nation, committed to the Tide earlier today. He selected Alabama over the Kansas Jayhawks via Twitter.

If this is the first domino to fall for Johnson and the Crimson Tide for next season, the class of 2016 could potentially become, on paper, one of the best recruiting classes in Alabama basketball history.
