Everything seemed to go right for Alabama in its 59-0 rout over Texas A&M, but there was at least two moments in the game that might refute that.

Two weeks removed from losing three key players for an extended period of time, two Crimson Tide players, right tackle Austin Shepherd and defensive end Jonathan Allen, needed assistance off the field at two different points in Saturday's contest.

But keeping up the theme of a near-perfect outing for Alabama against the Aggies, both players' injuries did not turn out to be as drastic as they initially looked.

"Everybody’s OK," Alabama coach Nick Saban said. "Shep probably could have played in the second half if we needed to. Jonathan Allen just had cramps."

Shepherd, a fifth-year senior and starter, suffered an ankle and knee injury during the second quarter with the Crimson Tide up 24-0 inside the Texas A&M red zone. Shepherd needed the help of trainers as he limped off the field and eventually into the locker room, later returning to the sideline in a walking boot.

Sophomore Grant Hill, who has been working as either the second-team left or right tackle all season, replaced Shepherd in his absence.

"Shep's fine," Saban said. "Sprained his ankle, sprained his knee a little bit, but he should be fine."

Allen, a sophomore starter, went down with cramps and also needed help getting off the field. When he went to the locker room after coming off the field, he needed a cart to aid him in reaching the locker room.

"They gave him a couple of IVs," Saban said. "So he wasn't really injured; he was just cramping."
