Heisman finalist Amari Cooper has long been considered the top wide receiver entering the 2015 NFL Draft, but ESPN analyst Mel Kiper has dropped him to number two. 

The former Alabama standout broke every receiving record under offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin on his way to becoming the first player at his position to earn first team All-American honors in more than 20 years. Cooper led the nation in receptions, while finishing in the top three for receiving yards, touchdown receptions, yards per game, and receptions per game.

But along came the NFL Combine. As is the case every year, a great performance in shorts carries a lot of weight with scouts and executives. Even though Cooper ran stride-for-stride with West Virginia's Kevin White, the 40-yard dash times were officially called a 4.42 and 4.35 respectively.

Since those late-February workouts in Indianapolis, White has been trending upward. Cooper hasn't necessarily dropped, but many analysts are now projecting the Mountaineers' receiver first off the board at wide receiver.
