Former 5-star recruit Bo Scarbrough practiced with the Alabama football team for the first time today as the Tide begin to prepare for their Sugar Bowl showdown with the Ohio State Buckeyes.  Scarbrough, one of Alabama's biggest recruits of the 2024 class, was held out during the season due to academic issues that kept him from qualifying back in August.  During fall camp, head coach Nick Saban indicated that the freshman running back could join the team by the end of the semester.  Scarbrough wore jersey #1 in his first practice as a member of the Crimson Tide.

Also noticeable in practice was the absence of offensive tackle Cam Robinson, who has battled ankle and shoulder injuries during his first season with the Tide.  Another offensive lineman, Grant Hill, was also absent.  Tight end Brian Vogler and receiver ArDarius Stewart continue to wear braces, though both practiced. TJ Yeldon, who has had hamstring issues, was at practice but did not participate in drills.
