The Alabama Crimson Tide will begin its title defense in 2016 with a neutral site matchup with the USC Trojans.

The two teams will meet in Arlington, Texas, for the 2016 Cowboys Classic on September 3. On paper, this game will feature two of college football's greatest richest traditions. The Trojans and Crimson Tide have combined for nearly 1,700 wins and six of the past 13 national championships.

But when the two meet at AT&T Stadium on the first week of the season, oddsmakers believe Alabama should win comfortably. 5Dimes posted lines for the top games in week one, and the Crimson Tide is a 13-point favorite over USC. It's not a big surprise considering Nick Saban will field one of his strongest defenses and has weapons all over the field on offense. The biggest question mark will be at starting quarterback, which we might not have an answer to until the first offensive series of that game.

The kickoff time and television network has not been announced.
