In just two weeks, the college baseball season will begin for the Crimson Tide, but they won't be playing any of their games in Tuscaloosa. The Hoover Met will be the Tide's home this season, as renovations have forced Mitch Gaspard and his squad away from Sewell Thomas Stadium.

Throughout the season, Coach Gaspard will join Chris Stewart each Thursday to discuss how the Tide is performing on the diamond, plus how the players and coaches will adjust to playing their home games away from home.

The Tide practiced over this past weekend in Birmingham, but will the field at the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium be ready to play on come February 13?

"We pulled out of there Sunday, and I think our players, coaching staff and our sports staff was more than impressed by the job that they've done in just the preparation of getting the field in the shape that it's in."
