Alabama's recent hot streak on the hardwood put the team in position to have a shot at an NCAA Tournament birth, but Wednesday's night game trip to LSU meant another opportunity to strengthen the resume.

The Crimson Tide overcame nine more turnovers and 17 fewer free throw attempts to pull out a tough road win over the Tigers, 76-69. Retin Obasohan led the way with a career-high 35 points and Riley Norris pulled down a career-high 16 rebounds.

A day later, the latest NCAA Tournament projections are being released and Avery Johnson appears to be in good shape to make the Big Dance in his first season.

Here's where the leading Bracketology experts see Alabama with five games left in the regular season:

ESPN's Joe Lunardi

Going into the game, Alabama was the last team in the tournament according to Lunardi, and this win didn't move them up too much. The latest update has the Crimson Tide as the second-to-last team in.

CBS Sports' Jerry Palm

Palm has been a lot higher on Alabama than other analysts. He had the Crimson Tide in as a 10-seed after the Florida win and gave the team another big bump after the LSU win.

The Crimson Tide returns to Tuscaloosa to host Mississippi State on Saturday. If Alabama can close out its home schedule without a loss, you'd have to feel awfully good about the team's chances of making the tournament.
