Updated on June 1, Las Vegas has released the newest odds for who will win next season's college football championship, and as you might have guessed, Alabama is hanging around close to the top.

We all know that Ohio State earned last season's national championship, and since they didn't lose too many players from that team, they are obviously on top of the list. But there is quite a significant jump from Ohio State to the second best team, Alabama, and also a significant jump in odds from the 15th team, UCLA, to the 16th team, Arkansas.

Ohio State is a 3/1 favorite to win the championship next season. In other words, in order to win $3, you have to bet $1 on Ohio State. In comparison, Alabama has 15/2 odds of winning, meaning that you have to bet $2 to win $15. Doing some basic mathematical rationalization, betting on Alabama is equivalent to placing a $1 bet to win $7.50; basically, Ohio State is 2.5 times more likely to win the championship over Alabama.

Here is a list of the top 27 teams most likely to win the championship, plus the field is included at 60/1 odds.
